Re-joining the EU is key to unifying the UK, campaigners have stressed.

The Queen’s University in Belfast has released polling results which found that more than 70% of people, including a majority of those who voted Leave, view Brexit as more of a failure than a success in Northern Ireland.
These findings support the latest research from Best for Britain that shows how re-joining the EU would significantly improve jobs, growth and public finances in the UK.
Naomi Smith, Chief Executive of Best for Britain, said:
“Ten years on, the verdict is in and it's damning: when a majority of Leave voters agree Brexit has failed Northern Ireland, the Westminster class can no longer hide behind the result of a referendum that has left the entire UK poorer, more divided and increasingly isolated internationally.
“A resounding majority of people in Northern Ireland want to rejoin the EU, mirroring similar polling numbers in Scotland, England and Wales, so for the sake of the union it's high time UK membership of the EU conversations begin in earnest.”
